The New 2008 School Self-Evaluation Toolkit (SSET) Stop worrying about your SEF and how you can embed effective self-evaluation practice in your school. SSET helps you to complete the SEF easily and saves a huge amount of time, and money. SSET can help in many ways:
To try the fully interactive demonstrations of SSET please click on the series of links below. To read more about SSET or to order the product for your school click here. SSET Demonstration 1 - "Logging on" SSET Demonstration 2 - "Answering questions in SSET" SSET Demonstration 3 - "Summary of Areas for Development" SSET Demonstration 4 - "The Development Plan" SSET serves a variety of purposes and allows schools to review their work in partnership with Local Authorities or their School Improvement Partner (SIP). It uses the OfSTED SEF as a basis, with additional questions and prompts, that inform the overarching questions of the inspection framework and embed the process of self-evaluation. Headteachers have found the examples of judgements across all aspects invaluable. It allows schools to have a clear view of strengths and areas for improvement. It also allows schools to show progress when comparing grade judgements over time. Headteachers have praised SSET: "We bought SSET and used it to help us complete the SEF. It saved us an enormous amount of time and helped us to get the information down in an effective format. Our LEA Senior Adviser has just completed our School Annual Review. Her comments on the way the SEF is written, as an experienced OfSTED Inspector, were very satisfying and reassuring. I would recommend it to colleagues (and I have already done this on the TES website)" Ewart Gibbs, Headteacher, Leys Farm Junior School, North Lincolnshire |
